Color progress on "Sticks/Stones" using Winsor & Newton designers gouache paint. These broad unifying color washes take surprisingly long because gradients have to be carefully attended to and they saturate the paper more than detail work, taking longer to dry between each step even with the aid of a hairdryer. It's important to wait until the paper is fully dry between washes so that you don't distress the surface, working it while it's "vulnerable." This piece will be in my August solo show at La Luz De Jesus gallery. @laluzdejesus #laluzdejesusgallery #jawcooper #august2015soloshow #wip #gouache
