"Choke" and "Tyrant" WIP

Busy busy busy! Both "Choke" and "Tyrant"will be graphite on frosted acetate over gouache paint for color and tone. Here is what I'm working on:

"Choke"

"Tyrant"

Both are now transferred to acetate as well as to paper mounted to board so tomorrow they will be ready for color!

"Choke" and "Tyrant" will be part of my April 2013 solo show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery. For more info, to be added to the preview list, or to reserve a piece early, email Matt Kennedy at info@laluzdejesus.com.

I am so excited to see the full delights of your show when all the pieces are together. I've loved tracking your progress photos, you are an inspiration.

And may I add, I'm sure you weren't able to get a monkey to pose for this one, and therefore I can only conclude that your grip on anatomy is simply incredible!

Thanks Thea! And yes, I had to mostly make up that monkey pose, referencing a few photos of monkeys and one very silly photo of myself in that pose.
