I'm Just A Big Ol' Tease... With Prints!

Just a couple teasers of some of the things I finished recently:

"Snuffed Out"
NFS until October via La Luz de Jesus Gallery
Update: *SOLD*

"Stephen Hawking" (*SOLD*)

In the above piece I experimented with mounting acetate (with a graphite/white chalk/white gouache drawing) onto 300lb watercolor paper toned with colorful ink washes. It was so fun, I will be working this way a lot from now on!

BLUECANVAS EVENT/PRINTS!!!
I usually make giclee prints on a strictly case-by-case basis but I've run off a large number for the Bluecanvas event that will be held in downtown Los Angeles tomorrow, Thursday 14th, as part of the monthly art walk. I will have a large number of prints as well as a few originals for sale at the one-night-only event and the prices will be far lower than normal since I ran off the set all at once.

EVENT INFO:
The Bluecanvas event will be held Thursday April 14th at 453 S. Spring St. Los Angeles, CA 90013. It will run from 5pm-midnight and I'll probably be there at ~8pm or 9pm for an hour or so. Featured artists include Adam Ybarra, Bryan Holland, Charmagne Coe, Christopher Gideon, David Cole, Bob Dob, David Lovejoy, JAW Cooper, Javier Villanueva, Max Neutra, Rona Liu, William Zdan, Zeal Harris, Da Kim and Cecil Kim! What an amazing crowd!

Nearly all prints will be 30$, except for a couple small ones which will be 20$ and a couple larger ones which will be 45$. Whatever goes unsold will become available for purchase through my blog the following weekend, but there is only one of each so if you know you want a specific print reserve it by emailing me ASAP at jawcooper@gmail.com.

Here are (crappy photos of) all the prints laid out on my bed, as well as a selection of prints of my favorite LA Weekly editorial pieces:

I'll be at the opening tomorrow night so if you stop by (and know what I look like) please say hello!

It really bums me out that I live on the opposite coast and can't take advantage of the low prices or meet you at this walk thing of which you speak.

I plan on being there tonight (never miss the Art Walk) - will definitely say hello! The Blue Canvas shows are always filled with great stuff - so not surprised that you're involved =)
