I came up with a name and concept for my monthly LA Weekly visual column. I'm calling it "Concrete Jungle" and I'll explore how a metropolis such as Los Angeles may appear civilized, barren, and domesticated while in fact it is every bit as wild, lush and full of adventure as a wilderness. I'll draw parallels between the landmarks, events, people, etc of Los Angeles and events/motifs found in nature.
